SIMPACK Contact
SIMPACKs Functionality in Contact Modelling SIMPACK offers multiple modelling approaches to simulate the contact between bodies. Contact may occur between point and line, lines (2D) and surfaces (3D), both defined in SIMPACK or imported from CAD tools. The contact bodies may be flexible, i.e. imported from FE-tools, when using the SIMPACK module FlexCONTACT. Due to an advanced tuning in the SIMPACK solvers, i.e. the root function feature, the accuracy and efficiency of the time integration is not impaired even when considering extremely non-linear contact. SIMPACK's functionality in contact modelling is available within the add-on modules SIMPACK Contact and SIMPACK FlexContact.

SIMPACK FlexContact comprises the functionality of SIMPACK Contact and adds the contact on flexible bodies functionality. For users of SIMPACK Contact an upgrade to SIMPACK FlexContact is available.
