SIMPACK Elastomer
A non-linear elastomer force element has now been introduced into SIMPACK. This element enables fast and accurate modelling of engine mounts, or bushings, which are common within the Automotive and Wheel/Rail industries.
General Features
- This element, the product of research by P. Pfeffer, is both frequency and amplitude dependent.
- The number of input parameters has been kept to a minimum in order to reduce the required measurement effort. Other necessary parameters are automatically generated.
- All six force components of the elastomer may be defined.
- Fast and accurate calculations are achieved by unique SIMPACK algorithms.
- Pre-defined default values are available for easy inclusion of this element.
