SIMPACK Elastomer

A non-linear elastomer force element has now been introduced into SIMPACK. This element enables fast and accurate modelling of engine mounts, or bushings, which are common within the Automotive and Wheel/Rail industries.

General Features

This element, the product of research by P. Pfeffer, is both frequency and amplitude dependent.
The number of input parameters has been kept to a minimum in order to reduce the required measurement effort. Other necessary parameters are automatically generated.
All six force components of the elastomer may be defined.
Fast and accurate calculations are achieved by unique SIMPACK algorithms.
Pre-defined default values are available for easy inclusion of this element.
