SIMPACK Engine
SIMPACK ENGINE is an add-on SIMPACK module bundling, which enables an easy, quick, accurate and reliable model setup as well as the sophisticated analysis of mechanical engine components and complete engine models.

With SIMPACK ENGINE numerous specialised engine MBS modelling elements can be used in order to build up detailed engine component models, complete engine models and according analysis scenarios. Furthermore SIMPACK ENGINE contains a predefined, parameterised and customizable model database (substructures) which allows quick and easy model setup. This also enables the definition and automated execution/postprocessing of standardised analysis scenarios. As a result of SIMPACK's open modelling structure and depending on the application focus, the versatility and range of analysis can be unlimited extended and combined with all other SIMPACK Add-on Modules. As a matter of course, all SIMPACK models are completely compatible between each other.
During the development of SIMPACK ENGINE together with a German car OEM, many new detailed modelling elements and analysis processes have been formed and validated. Apart from that SIMPACK’s well known relative coordinate algorithm and solver features have been adapted and optimised especially for engine applications. This has brought impressive calculation performance and result accuracy both with stand-alone engine component models and especially with highly detailed complete engine models.
