SIMPACK NVH (Noise, Vibration, Harshness)
SIMPACK NVH supplies tools which aid the user in carrying out vibration analyses within SIMPACK. With the NVH module, complex models may be linearised and solved analytically within the frequency domain, thus saving vast amounts of CPU time. Alternatively, the non-linear models may be solved iteratively within the time domain, using various NVH methods. The results of the time and frequency domain solutions may be easily compared for ensuring the suitability of the chosen method.

The SIMPACK Linear Stochastic Analysis is used to investigate the influence of stochastic excitations on the MBS. Within this module, four different calculation modes are provided. All of them use the completely linearised differential equations of motion.
This reduces the computational effort and takes advantage of the properties of linear equations. Further features of SIMPACK NVH are special options for the time domain solver, such as the symbolic accelerator and the time integration of linearised systems. This can reduce the calculation times by up to 90-95%, which is particularly helpful when models with just small amplitudes but high frequencies are being investigated.
