SIMPACK Contact Mechanics Training

1 day training course
The course starts at 9 a.m. and ends at 5 p.m.

Before undertaking the Contact Mechanics training course the user should have completed the SIMPACK Basics training course.

The SIMPACK Contact training course explains the usage of SIMPACK's modelling elements for contact mechanics and the particular features to optimize the SIMPACK solver for contact simulations.
 

• SIMPACK
• Fundamentals of contact mechanics (Moved Marker Types 96 and 87)
• Contact mechanics of roller bearings
• Example: Ball bouncing/rolling on a plane, simple roller bearing model, simple valve train
• Hertzian contact model with contact damping and friction
• Example: Complex valve train model
