Aerospace

SIMPACK is a general purpose three dimensional Multi-Body Simulation Software which is uniquely suited to the simulation of any type of aerospace application. Initially developed by the DLR, German Aerospace Centre, SIMPACK is inherently well suited to aerospace applications. SIMPACK is currently being used for the simulation of passenger jets, helicopters, satellites, autonomous planetary vehicles and comet probes.

With SIMPACK, users can simulate individual aerospace components and complete systems. Apart from taking internal dynamics and control into account, SIMPACK may also incorporate any external influences, such as ground disturbances and aerodynamic loadings. SIMPACK’s versatility enables easy interfacing with standard codes (e.g. FE, aerodynamics, control, hydraulics, etc.) and unique in-house codes. Users have complete control over the entire system for running multiple load cases, automatic report generation and even optimisation.
