HiL/SiL

SIMPACK is a general purpose three dimensional Multi-Body Simulation Software and is uniquely suited to the analysis and design of any type of mechanical and mechatronic systems. With the ability to export entire models as C or Fortran code, SIMPACK enables users to easily implemented their models into hardware and software-in-the-loop (HIL/SIL) environments.

SIMPACK Code Export offers users a seamless process, from complex MBS models to real-time applications. One common model database can be used for both on- and off-line simulations. Models with different levels of fidelity may be easily created and exported for HIL/SIL use. For example, both suspensions based on quasi-static look-up tables and detailed suspensions component models may be exported and used in real-time environments. Flexible components can also be considered within the generated code. New SIMPACK solver technology has been exclusively created for enabling an unmatched level of model detail in real-time applications. Current SIMPACK technology enables model with an unparalleled 140 degrees-of-freedom and a 20Hz frequency content to run in real-time with a 1ms sampling rate.

Models may also be exported directly to Matlab/Simulink as an s-function block. Only user selected parameters may be read and modified after exporting the model. Furthermore, code export enables users to automatically generate model specific pre- and postprocessors for use by non-MBS experts.
