SIMPACK Scripting Training
The Scripting training is no longer offered. Instead a tutorial for SIMPACK Classic is now available.
Before working through the scripting tutorial the user should have completed the SIMPACK Basics training course.
It is particularly important that the user understands how the SIMPACK GUI and PostProcessor works, which is explained in the SIMPACK Basics training course. Experiences in object oriented programming are advantageous.
By using the SIMPACK scripting language QSA the user is able to extend the SIMPACK PostProcessor with own functionality, in particular automation of plot configurations, calling external processes and write import/export filters. Setting up simple graphical user interfaces (GUI) from own scripts is covered as well.
The following is covered by the tutorial:
- Object oriented programming basics
- SIMPACK Scripting Interface (SSI) concepts
- SIMPACK GUI scripting integration
- Creation of customized GUIs
- Writing data import/export plugins
- Running external processes
- File I/O from scripts
- Script batch execution
